Sol de Janeiro Becomes a Certified B Corp

Beauty Packaging’s Company of the Year, Sol de Janeiro, has achieved B Corp Certification.

The certification marks an important milestone in Sol de Janeiro’s evolution and reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to building a responsible business as it continues its global growth. 

Its certification marks continued progress across the Group’s portfolio and its broader commitment to advancing social and environmental performance across its businesses.

Sol de Janeiro is certified under Version 1.6 of the B Impact Assessment, which assesses a company’s impact across areas including workers, community, environment, customers, and governance. 

The certification also provides a framework for the company to continue measuring its impact and evolving its environmental and social practices.

Beyond its operations, Sol de Janeiro is putting these values into action through the Sol de Janeiro Foundation by supporting communities and ecosystems at the heart of its mission. 

Established in 2024, the Foundation is centered on two core pillars: the regeneration and conservation of biodiversity and the empowerment of young women worldwide. 

As part of L’Occitane Group, which recently achieved B Corp recertification under B Lab’s new Standards, Sol de Janeiro has achieved B Corp Certification for the first time under Version 1.6 of B Lab’s standards.
